Week 18

I haven’t figured out how to write these notes ever since I started working again. There’s no scope for oversharing in that realm the way there is in my personal life (hehe?).

  • I’ve been reading Bad Blood, the book about Theranos. It’s quite an engaging read even for someone who snoozes after reading a single page of non-fiction. My dad finds the whole situation unbelievable so we even watched the documentary (he’s still quite incredulous).
  • I’ve finally got around to watching the second season of Hospital Playlist. I love it and I’m going to miss it.
  • I’m excited to watch the Only Murders in the Building finale. It’s been absolutely delightful so far.
  • I also finally got around to watching Raya and the Last Dragon and oh man, what a treat to the eyes. And so funny. Big fan.
  • I found this one Spotify playlist full of late 2010s pop bangers, so I’ve been listening to that while working.
  • I refreshed my hair colour last week and nailed it. I’ve been able to achieve the perfect shades of rose gold and pink. I’m quite pleased. I’m also trying out the Curly Girl routine once again (you know, the way I do every 3 months before giving up because it feels like way too much effort). But this time I’m feeling quite optimistic simply because I learned that you’re supposed to scrunch out the gel cast from your hair after it’s dried! I had no clue! I don’t know how I missed this vital piece of information! So now that I’m using gel the correct way, I’m seeing some curl definition and that’s what’s keeping me going.
  • I haven’t been able to get back to working out since my LASIK surgery, so I’ve been trying to do that with 10-minute workouts. Still not really feeling, you know? Maybe I just need to watch Alicia Vikander’s Tomb Raider once more. Or The Legend of Korra.
  • I went to the salon after more than a year today. Who are these people that opt for chocolate wax, and how has it been dominating Indian salons ever since I can remember?!
  • After a year of yearning, I finally bought myself an iPad. I’m currently doodling mandalas on it.
Going ham with that symmetry tool

Okiee, bye!
